PDFlib 8.0.1 available

 

The maintenance release PDFlib 8.0.1 is available for all users with a valid PDFlib 8.0.0 license.

Updating to 8.0.1 is recommended for all users of PDFlib, PDFlib+PDI, and PPS 8.0.0. The PDFlib Block plugin has been updated to version 4.1.

The new packages are immediately available for download from http://www.pdflib.com/download/pdflib-family/pdflib-8/

All 8.0.1 binaries accept valid 8.0.0 license keys.

PDFlib 8.0.1 collects ca. 85 changes to the core code, language bindings, and build system. The most important items are summarized below; the full changelog for PDFlib 8.0.1 is available on the download page.

automatic script and position (right/left) detection for bidi text

process certain JPEG-compressed TIFF images which previously have
been rejected

better color handling for JPEG images with Exif data
